Privacy and Visitor Statistics
In plain words: what this website knows about you and what we measure.
What we know about you
hermes-ai.cz is a read-only website — there is no sign-up, no login and no ordering. So we have no account to link you to. We do not know your name or email unless you write to us yourself.
What we measure and why
We need to know which pages help people and which leave them stuck — that is how we decide what to rewrite. So we only look at:
- how many people visited the site and which pages they opened,
- where they arrived from (a search engine, a link elsewhere),
- what kind of device they used (phone, tablet, computer),
- how long they read a page and how far they scrolled.
These are totals for the whole site, not profiles of individuals. Nothing in them names you, and we never sell the data.
Measurement runs without cookies
The statistics are cookieless: the site stores no tracking file and no measurement identifier in your browser. That is why there is no cookie bar here and nobody asks you for anything — measurement works the same for every visitor, every time.
A visit is held together only by an anonymous fingerprint valid for that day. That tells us how many people came and what they read; it cannot link your visits across days.
Who processes the statistics
Visitor statistics are kept by Matomo on our own server — the data stays with us. On four pages (the homepage, What is Hermes, Features and Community) we also use Google Analytics, likewise without cookies; there Google processes the statistics on its own servers.
What the site stores in your browser
- Your language choice (Czech or English) — so we send you to the right language version next time.
Nothing else. No measurement or advertising files. If you clear site data in your browser you lose nothing — the language is simply chosen again next time.
